ISSUES

Homelessness​

Eliminating homelessness throughout the state.
Prioritizing assistance for women and children.
Reducing dependence on drugs.
Addressing mental health needs.
Coordinating resources to provide comprehensive assistance.
Offering housing assistance.
Treating individuals holistically, focusing on abilities rather than disabilities.






Communication​

Monthly radio programs on the first Saturday to update and interact with residents.
Suggestion boxes in mayor offices statewide to collect citizen concerns.
Sending letters of condolence to families of deceased citizens.











Education​​

Focus:
Implementing running start programs for 11th and 12th graders to earn Associate’s Degrees.
Providing start-up programs for high school students pursuing blue-collar jobs.
State-funded vouchers and partnerships with technical colleges and private industries.
Offering state-paid real estate courses and aviation training.
Collaborating with nonprofits and private industries for GED and job training programs.
Providing training for flaggers and heavy equipment operators.
Special focus on training homeless citizens to join the workforce.

Senior Citizens

Ensuring health, welfare, security, and safety.
Improving living conditions and communication.
Providing mental health and welfare services.




Veterans​

Positioning Washington as a top state for veteran retirement.
Celebrating Veterans Day in every county.
Enhancing benefits for disabled veterans and first responders.
Encouraging veteran entrepreneurship.
Reducing disability claim processing times through federal and state team efforts.

Infrastructure​​

Enhancing ports, bridges, roads, and highways.
Improving the ferry system and railroads.
Expanding light rail to connect residents and reduce traffic.
Increasing the size and improving the infrastructure of Olympia Airport.
Providing dependable transportation for citizens to live, work, and play across the state.

Public Safety

Increasing security in key areas like Seattle, Capital Blvd, and Hilltop.
Ensuring a safe and secure environment for the 2026 World Cup.

Child Care​

Addressing high childcare costs.
Implementing a pilot program to standardize childcare assistance based on wages, number of children, and available resources.

Green Energy​​

Minimizing the carbon footprint.
Maximizing the use of renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydropower.

George Bush: The Black pioneer who founded Tumwater

George Bush, an African-American pioneer, founded Tumwater, Washington, the first major American settlement in the Puget Sound region in the 1800s. Forced north by Oregon’s racist laws, Bush and his party settled near present-day Olympia, creating a vital community for travelers.
